Mini Maths Champions

Meet our Mini Maths Champions

Hello everyone. My name is Tiahna and I am in year six; I am one of the members of Mr Farrand’s Mini Maths Champions group. I wanted to become a Mini Maths Champion because I love challenges and all areas of maths, especially algebra. Our responsibility within school is to help and support Mr Farrand make maths the best it can be in school. My dreams are to get a job as a Teacher. Hopefully, I can inspire others to want to have a job which uses maths skills. If you have any questions or would like more information about maths, come and find me.

Hello everyone. My name is Missy  and I am in year six. My role in school is being a member of Mr Farrand’s Mini Math Champions group. I wanted to become a Mini Math Champion because I love maths and enjoy challenges. My favourite subject is Maths and I hope for one day to make maths everyone’s favourite subject and not for anyone to worry about maths. Our main responsibility of being a Mini Math Champion is to make maths better in school. My favourite area of maths is number- especially addition and multiplication. One thing I would like to achieve is to help children see maths as subject that everyone can be good at. If you would like any more information about Mini Maths Champions or me, please come and find me.

Hello everyone. My name is Evie and I am in year six. As a Mini Maths Champion, I get to help Mr Farrand lead maths in our school; our role is to make Brooke’s maths better and help one another reach our full potential. I wanted to become a Mini Maths Champion because maths is my absolute favourite subject – by far. When I heard there was a new responsibility to do with maths I didn’t waste any time at all as helping the whole school’s math would be a great opportunity. I would be able to help my peers achieve the best. My personal favourite area of maths would have to be everything but if I have to choose one area I suppose it would have to be number (e.g. addition, multiplication, bodmas, subtraction). My dream is for everyone to enjoy maths with no worries and for students to feel at ease within all areas of math. If you’re struggling come and find me.

Hi my name is Cohen  (inY6PM/LF). I’ve chosen to take on this role because maths is my favourite subject by far. I became a Mini Maths Champion because I love helping people and wanted to help children develop their mathematical skills and give the children a voice so that the teachers can make maths as exciting as it can be. My favourite thing to do in maths is to multiplying numbers. My dream is to get new maths equipment in school to support the children with their understanding of maths. If anyone has got any questions or struggling in area in maths I’m the man.

Hi my name is Lilly (Y6PM). I wanted to become a Mini Maths Champion to help other people who struggle in areas such as: Algebra, subtraction, addition… etc. I want to help them understand the processes of maths better earlier so they are not confused. This will make the next generation of mathematicians stronger because of their knowledge. My purpose as a Mini Math Champion is to ensure that everyone understands how important maths is and that message is spread clearly to both staff, parents and children. This should assist in the growing knowledge of humanity by getting children to exceed their usual boundary’s and thrive. My personal favourite area of maths is algebra because I can show people the similarity’s to other methods/subjects and teach other pupils. My dream/ hope is that by gaining knowledge and sharing this with peers’ math will become recognised and understood making us stronger.
